Yes — and it's strongly recommended by medical research. With proper supervision, gradual progressions and respect for individual limitations, strength training is one of the safest and most beneficial activities for older adults.
I have a joint replacement / osteoporosis / heart condition — can I still train?+
In most cases, yes. The programme is designed around your specific health profile. Exercises are selected to work with your condition, not against it. If needed, I coordinate with your physician to ensure the programme is appropriate.
How often should seniors train per week?+
Two to three sessions per week is generally ideal for maintaining strength and mobility gains without excessive fatigue. The schedule adapts to your energy levels and other activities.
Do I need any equipment at home?+
No. Many effective exercises use only bodyweight or resistance bands, which the trainer can bring. If you'd like to invest in light dumbbells or a sturdy chair, those are useful additions but not requirements.
